Botanical Printing on Silk, 8/10 10am-5pm

Spend a fun day with nature’s way of utilizing plants and surface design to create a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. In the one day workshop, you will complete one silk scarf and do some test printing on some scrap silk as a warm up. You will learn how to prepare the silk for dye, how to lay out the leaves for best results, tips for bundling, and how to care for your finished naturally dyed item.

This is an all day class with a 1 hour break for lunch

Includes Includes all dye materials and one premordanted scarf.

Class size limited to 8 Adults.

Students bring: Rubber gloves to protect hands and old clothes you wouldn’t mind staining. Cardboard and newspapers to carry your wet prints home flat. Student may bring your own leaves and flowers from a list Karin will supply before the class.
