9/14 & 9/28 Tina Greco: Sculpting the Human Form

Intermediate

Come and translate your ideas into the physical form. Students will learn how to design a three-dimensional sculptural art piece. You will be guided in sculpting fundamentals and given the knowledge and tools to sculpt the human form. Foundational concepts such as: special relationaships, scale, proportions, subtractive carving and additive modeling. Come and translate your ideas into the physical form. This is day one. On day two you will learn techniques in glazing your bisque fired piece.

5lbs of clay per student, firing and use of glaze is included.

Tina Greco’s art is about recognizing the human formfor how it is, rather than how we would like it to be. The ordinary is valued, the differences expressed, the imperfection now satisfying, just like life itself.
