Intro to Acrylic
In this workshop, the artist will be introduced to a versatile and loved medium by modern artists. Artists will learn the properties, pros and cons, progression of a painting, use of color and other skills for the beginner. The artist will create a painting as they put into practice the skills learned.
Some subjects that will be discussed:
● Atmosphere
● Blending
● Brushes
● Layering
● Underpainting
● Color wheel and color values
● Experimenting with color
● Studio vs professional paint
● Basic colors needed
● Common mistakes.
This will be a 6 hour workshop with a half an hour lunch break. All materials supplied. Practical exercises and plenty of interaction will be encouraged.
