What to bring:

-    2 – 8 or 16oz clean plastic tubs w/lids.
-    Ruler

 Day 1:
-   Make slip
-   Make a tray –
o   What type of clay we are using
o   Preparing the clay to roll into a slab using slab roller or rolling pins.
o   Clay tools and materials needed
o   Clean up and cut the slab
o   Create the tray with a form
o   Clean up and decorate

Day 2:
-    Clean up the tray, score and slip to add feet and put in kiln room for bisque firing
-     Create a mug using a mug form
o   Preparing the clay to roll into a slab using slab roller or rolling pins.
o   Clay tools and materials needed
o   Clean up and cut the slab
o   Create the mugs, make handles, score and slip to add handles

Day 3:
-    Clean up the mugs and decorate. Put in kiln room for bisque firing
-    Create the bits & pieces bowl
o   Create and decorate pieces.
o   Use a form to create the bowl with lots of texture and scoring and slipping

Day 4:
-    Complete the bits and pieces bowl
-    Clean up the bowl. Put in kiln room for bisque firing.

Glaze Day (March 5):
-    Learn about the glazes available in the Clay Studio
-    Dip or hand glaze your pieces.

Final firing will happen within a couple days of glazing. We will let you know when you can pick up your final works of pottery.
