8/9 & 8/23 Tina Greco: Small Sculptures
Fridays August 9th and 23rd, 9am to 12pm.
Beginner to Intermediate
Ages 12 thru Adult (Children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian also signed up for the class)
Hand build a small sculpture (human or animal) with clay. Learn the techniques of clay such as: slipping & scoring, hollowing, proportions & perspective. All pieces will be bisque fired and glazed.
This price includes $85 instructor fee along with $25 lab fee which goes to the price of clay, glazes, and firing pieces. NAA Clay Studio Members do not have to pay the lab fee. Non-membership options include a $35 year long membership to the Northport Arts Association (not the clay studio - sold separately).
Tina Greco’s art is about recognizing the human formfor how it is, rather than how we would like it to be. The ordinary is valued, the differences expressed, the imperfection now satisfying, just like life itself.
