7/2 & 7/16 Tina Greco: Making Bas Relief Sculpture
Tuesdays July 2nd and 16th, 1 to 4pm
Beginner/Intermediate
Bas relief is a sculptural technique in which the elements of design is drawn on a clay slab and is raised above the flattened surface. You can design abstractions, animals or humans, Proportions and perspectives will be shown. All pieces will be bisque fired and glazed.
This price includes $95 instructor fee along with $25 lab fee which goes to the price of clay, glazes, and firing pieces. NAA Clay Studio Members do not pay the lab fee.
Non-membership options include a $35, 1 year membership to the Northport Arts Association (not the clay studio - sold separately).
Tina Greco’s art is about recognizing the human formfor how it is, rather than how we would like it to be. The ordinary is valued, the differences expressed, the imperfection now satisfying, just like life itself.
