Porcelain Mosaic with Cheryl Ripley

I graduated from NMC, CMU, and a year Internship with WMU. I am a Registered Dietitian who loves art. During my years in college, I studied watercolor painting and drawing. The last eight years I have been painting with acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media. A few years ago, I have been studying and making mosaics with vintage china and glass tiles. I have been in many arts and crafts shows, and have been teaching mosaics classes for two years.

Each student should wear casual clothes and may wear an apron for my class. The student should bring a glass nipper to each class. I will have some to sell if they cannot find one. These are sold at Home Depot. Each kit will supply everything you need to make a wooden mosaic tray. An instruction sheet and a picture of the finished tray will be provided.

Students may bring their plates of choice, and I will bring some for students to choose from also. Keep the same thickness of plates. Students can take their tray home after the class. They can paint the sides of the tray at home after 24 hours after grouting. We will practice cutting dishes before we start the mosaic.

If there are any questions from a student, etc., they may call me at 1-231-946-0759
