BARBARA REICH

Barbara is a nationally recognized artist specializing in soft pastel.  She finds capturing moments, subjects, and strong visual concepts with the near pure pigments of soft pastel exhilarating, and is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with others.  Barbara enjoys both studio and plein air painting, working from life as often as possible. Early instruction instilled in her the intense desire to draw better, paint color with more emotion, and to always hunt and study the changing light.  Working on location for many years, Barbara is inspired by the character and subtleties found in nature and strives to reveal each settings unique spirit in every painting.  Creativity, personal interpretation, and a painterly aesthetic are words often used when describing Barbara’s work.
